Cataract Eye Surgery Project with Global Grant #1860259 for 500 cataract patients conducted with the collaboration of Rotary District 3410 Indonesia, District 3420 Indonesia, District 3300 Malaysia, District 3310 Singapore, District 3350 Thailand, District 3450 Hongkong and Cicendo Eye Hospital.
On 14 August 2018, we completed our Global Grant project with a total of 500 cataract eye surgeries. These were held at 5 different locations (see videos) in West Java as follows:-
10 July (Tuesday) Indramayu
14 July (Saturday) Soreang
21 July (Saturday) Ciamis
28 July (Saturday) Subang
14 August (Tuesday) Tasikmalaya
Indeed we were all very encouraged with the success. This had spurred everyone of us present to commit and do another similar project next calendar year… Gift of Sight Indonesia 2019.
We believe in the power of Rotary network. Together with one heart we can overcome many obstacles and achieve near impossible.

As such, Rotary Eclub of 3310 is planning to continue with Gift of Sight Indonesia 2019 and hoping to secure enough funding through TRF for 800 to 1000 cataract eye surgeries in West Java.
We will work with Rotary Club of Bandung and their sister club, Rotary Club of Kuching Central, also in District 3310. For starters, we hope to secure US$10k DDF from District 3310 with our partnership with Rotary Club of Kuching Central.
Our philosophy in life is inclusiveness and would like to invite Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts to join us in this fresh Global Grant application. It does not matter how big or small (eg US$2k) your contribution. We hope to have more parties involved so that each and everyone can claim ownership to this meaningful project.
