Introducing our Rotarians…

Finding Passion and Purpose through Rotary Engagements: Rotarian (PP) Susan Wong

Susan Wong’s Rotary journey began with an invitation to an OCBC Executive Club meeting, leading to the formation of Asia’s first E-Club, chartered by President Chew Ban Seng and several Past District Governors. She was honoured to serve as Club Secretary and New Generation Director, focusing on developing young leaders.

Finding Meaning and Purpose
Through various roles in Rotary, Susan found personal and professional growth. She had always emphasized the importance of member engagement, happiness, and retention. As the incumbent Fellowship Chair, she hosted a recent Fireside Chat to foster connections, share stories, and recruit new members.

Rotary-Toastmasters Alliance
Susan appreciates the collaboration between Rotary and Toastmasters; leveraging each other’s strengths. She is proud that our E-Club 3310 has many members who are a part of both organizations; benefiting from the shared ideals and expertise of both.

Life Long Learning
Susan is a strong advocate for continuous learning, embracing new experiences and passions. Despite many challenges, she discovered organic gardening, culinary arts, and photography during the pandemic. She is grateful for Rotary’s and Toastmasters’ roles in developing her potential and uncovering hidden talents.

Takeaway
“Live like there is no tomorrow. Do what you love and love what you do.”

These are what Susan would encourage our Rotarians to embrace in today’s life challenges, pursuing passions, and making the most of every moment.
