Meet Ching Kwock Wing: A Life of Service and Leadership

As a seasoned global business executive, educator, and dedicated Rotarian, Ching Kwock Wing embodies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” With a storied career spanning three decades and a passion for teaching, Kwock Wing has made a lasting impact in the lives of countless individuals.

A Global Perspective
Born in Singapore, Kwock Wing’s international outlook was shaped by his experiences as a Colombo Plan scholar at the University of New South Wales and his seven-year stint in Japan. He also maintains a second home in Vancouver, Canada, where he spends quality time with his family.

Rotary Journey
Kwock Wing’s Rotary journey began with an invitation to the Rotary E-Club of 3310. He quickly rose through the ranks, serving two terms as Club President (RY 2016-2017 and RY 2017-2018). His commitment to Rotary’s values has only deepened over time. Empowering Others

As a firm believer in the power of education, Kwock Wing has taught business management at Nanyang Technological University for over a decade. Upon retirement, he dedicated himself to developing training courses for the Rotary Learning Institute Singapore (RLIS) in collaboration with the National Silver Academy. These programs aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of Singapore’s silver generation.

Bridging Communities
Kwock Wing’s involvement with Toastmasters International and Rotary International led him to play a pivotal role in forging the Rotary-Toastmasters Alliance. He worked closely with Charter President Chew Ban Seng to organize events, panel discussions, and speech contests, fostering connections between Toastmasters, Rotaractors, and the wider community.

Leading by Example
As the organizing Chair of World Speech Day for three consecutive years (2021-2023), Kwock Wing continues to inspire others with his infectious enthusiasm and dedication to service.

A Life of Purpose
Kwock Wing’s life purpose reflects his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. As he continues his Rotary journey, his passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others will undoubtedly inspire fellow Rotarians to embrace a life of Service Above Self.
